Super Junior or Suju continues to create a history of the South Korea’s music industry when they become the group that received the most awards in Golden Disk Awards. Until today, the group that debuted in 2005 succeeding in winning 16 trophies through album sales and fans’ votes.

At the recent event, Suju once again has been chosen as the award winner for Album of the Year in Samsung Galaxy The 27th Golden Disk Awards which has been held in Sepang International Circuit, Kuala Lumpur on the 15th and 16th of January.

The results from an S.M Entertainment group’s achievement through their sixth album, Sexy, Free & Single also received a great respond from  music lover including in Australia, France, Peru and Japan.

Sexy, Free & Single has been chosen based on their third-placed spot in Billboard World Album besides the best-selling album which sold at 333,744 copies in one month as stated in South Korea’s Gaon Chart.

The great sales of Suju’s album also becomes the main aspect for the jury from the Korean Music Industry Association before they all agreed on choosing the group as the award winner for the highest award in Golden Disk Awards 2012.

In addition, this recognition was not the first time for Suju because they once accepted the same award in GDA 2011 when the sales of their fifth album, Mr. Simple reached 542,806 copies in Korean market.

This achievement maintained the two-year in a row awards and was responded with eager cheers from the local K-Pop fans who came to Sepang on that day.

Even when Super Junior won Album Division and MSN Southeast Asia Award, the fans already screamed histerically. With all the supports from their fans, they succeeding in winning Album Of The Year that makes the members touched including Yesung, Kangin, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun.

In fact through the interview session on Tuesday evening, Suju told the press that they are so happy with the local fans’ support that never fades away since the day of their debut until today.

“We feel very excited when we heard Malaysian fans screaming when we first arrived at the airports. That is one of the biggest honour for us. Surely, we hope that fans here will keep supporting us without a doubt.”

GDA’S STORM IN SEPANG

The award ceremony that has been dubbed as Korean Grammys sure brings lots of luck for the group Super Junior that received the Album of the Year through Sexy, Free & Single album.

The group that consisted of eleven handsome men also received the awards for Album Division with eight other winners.

Besides that, Super Junior also had been chosen as the winner for MSN Southeast Asia Award.
