After completing his two year mandatory military training, Super Junior member Kangin is set to make his comeback through a musical. SM Entertainment revealed today that Kangin has been offered the lead role in “Goong” musical which will be staged in Japan. As of the moment, nothing has been set yet and SM Entertainment is still in discussions for Kangin’s participation.

If Kangin does take the role for “Goong,” he will play the role of Lee Shin in the musical which will start its production at the U-Port Hall in Tokyo on September 1st. He will be the third idol to play the role after TVXQ’s Yunho and SS501’s Kim Kyujong who participated in previous productions.

“Goong” is a musical adaptation of the popular comic book of the same title. The book was also adapted into a drama series which featured Yoon Eunhye and Joo Jihoon back in 2006.

Should Kangin consider the musical as his comeback project?
