Wednesday Food Talk continued its delicious conversations about tangsuyuk, or sweet and sour pork.
tvN′s Wednesday Food Talk is a program where celebrities, who have strong opinions about food, talk about the birth and history of different kinds of dishes.
The program′s panel includes Jun Hyun Moo, Super Junior′s Heechul, actor Kim Yoo Seok, lawyer Kang Yong Seok, Italian restaurant owner and Urban Zakapa member Park Yong In, food stylist Hong Shin ae and food columnist Hwang Gyo Ik.
In the upcoming March 4 broadcast of Wednesday Food Talk, the panelists began their discussion about the nationally beloved dish, tangsuyuk.
Tangsuyuk is a popular Chinese restaurant dish in Korea that is loved by anyone who can eat meat. Withtangsuyuk′s long history in Korea, the panelists are expected to share a lot of stories regarding this popular dish.
During the recording, Heechul especially caught attention as he said, “I wanted to marry the daughter of a Chinese restaurant owner.”
Agreeing with Heechul, Kim Yoo Seok added, “During our time, the kids who played soccer well and whose parents owned Chinese restaurants were the most popular. Most of the kids dreamt of owning a Chinese restaurant.”
Kang Yong Seok shared his knowledge on tangsuyuk, even surprising chef Yeo Kyung Rae, the CEO of the Korean Association of Chinese Food, who came out as a special guest.
Wednesday Food Talk′s episode on tangsuyuk will air on March 4.
‘Super Junior’ Kim Hee-chul shared reasons why he decided to join .
A press conference for tvN was held at 63 Convention Center located in Yeongdeungpo-gu in Seoul on the 13th. Broadcaster Jeon Hyun-moo, ‘Super Junior’ Kim Hee-chul, lawyer Kang Yong-suk, actor Kim Yoo-suk, food researcher Hong Shin-ae attended the event.
Kim Hee-chul was asked about why he decided to join the cast and he answered, “I joined because of Jeon Hyun-moo hyung” and drew our attention.
He answered “I have lot of foods that I can’t eat. Rather than trying various food, I deeply enjoy the food that I really like”.
He continued “There were many tv programs which I thought about but I decided to join this programs because of Jeong Hyun-moo hyung. This show is really different.”
During an interview with staffs, he said “I don’t eat roasted whole chicken, king prawns, chicken feet and anything that has clear bone structures. I don’t eat fish but I enjoy raw fish. I’m a treasure for this show because I’m so pure and innocent” and showed his confidence.
Meanwhile, is a food variety show that show’s panel will talk about food related topics. It premieres on January 21 at 11pm.
