Super Junior took over the Korean trending hashtags on Twitter for 2012.
Because of the Hallyu wave, Korean hashtags come up very often on Twitter. Out of the 7 Korean #1 trending topics in 2012, one was for the Olympic swimmer Park Tae Hwan, when many all over the globe cried foul for his disqualification in the London Olympics.
The rest of the six Korean #1 trending topics went to Super Junior. Leader Leeteuk‘s enlistment trend of #기대릴게이특 (We’ll wait, Leeteuk) was next, followed also by an English tag for him. #슈퍼주니어2500일 (Super Junior 2500 Days), #이동해생일축하해요 (Lee Donghae Happy Birthday), #이특영원히사랑해요 (Leeteuk, we love you forever), #슈크라이6주년 (Su-KRY 6 years), #슈주은혁사랑합니다 (SuJuEunhyuk, we love you), and #슈퍼주니어26000일 (Super Junior 2600 Days) were also #1 hashtags that trended.
Except for Park Tae Hwan, every one of the top trending Korean hashtags were for Super Junior. The group also had numerous English hashtags that were trending as well. Not only so, but Super Junior’sSiwon is currently the Korean with the most followers on Twitter, he has nearly 3 million followers.Donghae is 2nd with over 2.6 million followers.

Super Junior’s Siwon recently appeared in a Santa costume.
On December 24, the singer tweeted, “Merry Christmas,” and attached the picture.
He looks into the camera with a deep gaze wearing a Santa costume. Nearly half of his face is covered with a fake white mustache, but his gorgeous appearance stands out.
Netizens who saw the posting reacted: “Siwon looks gorgeous even in the Santa costume.” “What made him change into Santa?” “I like his new look as a Santa.” “I thought there were lasers coming out of his eyes.” “Can I have a gift, Santa Siwon?”
In the meantime, Siwon is enthusiastically performing in SBS’s Monday-Tuesday drama series TheKing of Dramas (written by Jang Hang Joon and Lee Ji Hyo and directed by Hong Seong Chang) as the top star Kang Hyun Min with a unique personality.

Super Junior’s Yesung has recently talked about an anecdote when he stood up for Leeteuk, the leader of the group.
In the last episode of MBC’s Come to Play that will broadcast on December 24, Yesung starts to talk about the time when he went out to Apgujeong with Leeteuk who is well-known for his affection for his car. The talk takes place in the segment titled Strange Mountain Cabin.
He says, “Some drunken guys appeared out of nowhere and began to kick the car, and Leeteuk didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t stand their rude behavior, so I stepped outside the car,” and gives a vivid description of the incident.
Things get worse as the strange men grab him by collar, but Yesung faces them boldly like a man and impresses the listeners with his unexpected manly charm.
However, Eunhyuk witnessed the scene begins to mimic how Yesung stood up for himself at that time and the whole studio begins to laugh hard.

Super Junior’s Leeteuk and actor Kim Moo Yeol recently made their first public appearances as soldiers at the press interview for the making of the musical The Promise.
On December 24, Leeteuk and Kim attended the press interview for the making of the musical The Promise, which was held at the briefing room in the Ministry of National Defense. It’s been about two months for them to make public appearances since they started doing their military service in October.
At the press interview, the cast introduced the musical and themselves and answered to the reporters’ questions. Besides Leeteuk and Kim, singer and actor Ji Hyun Woo, actor Jung Tae Woo, and 8eight’s Lee Hyun appeared as the members of the cast.
After giving a salute to the reporters, they responded to the reporters’ questions sincerely.
The Promise is a musical produced by the Ministry of National Defense, the Headquarter of the Army, and the Korea Musical Association in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the end of the Korean War. It’s a story about a soldier who sacrifices himself to protect his country and fellows and the soldiers who try to keep their promise with him.
Kim plays the role of Sang Jin, a rebellious soldier who has a dark past. Leeteuk plays the role of Miss Kim, who has a feminine personality.
The Promise will be played from January 9 to 20 next year at the Haeorum Theater of the National Theater of Korea.
Kim started doing his military service on October 9 after he was embroiled in controversy over exemption from military service. Kim has been working for the Media Relations Team since December 4.
Leeteuk started doing his military service on October 30.

Super Junior‘s Choi Si Won recently took a proof shot of the snacks the fans had lovingly prepared for the drama staff to show his sincere gratitude.
On December 22, he tweeted, “Thank you so, so much. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food. Next time, no matter how busy you are please show us your faces so we can thank you in person,” and uploaded the following proof shot.
The handsome actor had someone take a photo of him standing next to the boxes of treats in a classy black turtleneck, black slacks and his hair parted in a style reminiscent of the 80′s Hollywood trend.
Netizens who saw the candid photo of the actor smiling pleasantly next to the treats commented, “He really goes the extra step in showing fans how sincerely thankful he is for their thoughtful gifts. You can tell,” “I think no matter what Choi Si Won wears, he seems like a celebrity” and “Fighting! Please continue to make entertaining dramas for us to watch!”
Choi Si Won currently plays the fictional character of top star actor Kang Hyun Min in SBS drama “The King Of Dramas.”
