Super Junior’s Leeteuk will join the army on October 30.
On September 25, SM Entertainment, Leeteuk’s agency, reported that Leeteuk will enter the 306 military training camp on October 30, receive military training for five weeks, and serve in the army for 21 months.
Debuting as a member of Super Junior in 2005, Leeteuk’s herniated lumbar disc worsened after he got into a big car accident in 2007. However, he had a strong will to join the army, so he has steadily received treatment.
Leeteuk is also popular as the host of SBS TV’s Star King and the regular guest of SBS TV’s Kang Shim Jang. Before he joins the army, he will leave the shows.
Super Junior have recently finished promoting their sixth album, Sexy, Free & Single.

Me too, I prepare myself for this since Heenim who is 83-line’s enlistment can’t belive this is one year already and only 10 months left for Heenim’s comeback.
Now it’s Teuk oppa’s turn, then Yesung oppa then……until BabyKyu…..
This is just the beginning like leader always said ‘It’s not end, but and…’
Time fly away…although we think we’re ready for this but it will never happen….so all what we can do is be patience and protect the boys like leader always do.^^
Keep in mind….just 2 years…..just 2 years….

But he’s back again and now it’s time to wait for Leeteuk.
I find it really amazing how dedicated Leeteuk is in serving in the army actively despite his injury and even undergoing treatment for that cause.

While trying to look at this positively, it might actually be good for him? He works way to much and from what we’ve seen from Heechul, the service looks less demanding then SJ’s usual schedule. To me, Kangin and Heechul seemed on the verge of collapse right before they left for service, and Heechul seems to be feeling great now, and Kangin returned re-energized.
And while the public won’t see much of Leeteuk, he’ll still have plenty of time to see friends and can keep in touch with his fans with Twitter.
I hope he does well and comes back in good health.

honestly I don’t think Leeteuk’s service will be similar to Heechul’s.. but you’re right, he’ll have time to rest and being away from the medias for 2 years is a good thing.. ^_^

And they just HAD to pick what I thought was going to be a great day (Assassin’s Creed III is coming out…). It’s inevitable, I guess…this is probably worse news for my sister, since today is her birthday and she has to find out soon, seeing as Leeteuk is one of her biases…

it’s really sad… but i’m glad we could enjoy his presence longer than we expected first ^^
it must be exhausting and awful for him to read their comments.
and we have still more than 1 month to make memories.
somehow i’m relieved because he will have the opportunity to rest and be more relax about his future.
plus he will less face Super Junior’s haters and i think he needs it since he is their perpetual target
i just hope haters will stop targeting Super Junior, especially on Allkpop, but i guess they will just choose another member to hate more than the others and it seems like they already started to bash more Shindong lately TT
i know we always say “haters gonne hate” but it really pisses me off when i imagine our members reading these bitchy comments.

Completely agree with you. A couple of months ago there were so many different rumors about his enlistment date, that I honestly thought he would have been gone by now, but instead we get to have him for some more time. So let’s make the most out of it, and not only support him but also the ones that are staying. Lets try to be positive about it, two years without him is nothing compare with the many more to come with him after this;)<3

oct 30 ….oh i feel really sad for this date .I heard it from one of my friends .I also ready for this but i feel still sad for that and hard to believe that.I do hope he ‘ll come back with the better structure and brighter smile for ELF…
