“You can’t, or should not, criticize Super Junior in Korea.” These were the remarks given by a Canadian couple living in South Korea.
This couple keep updating its followers about the happenings and living style in Korea. Recently they uploaded a video titled, “Five things you should not do in Korea”, in which they talked about the things one should be careful about at public places and rules and regulation one should follow when he is in Korea. The highlight of the video was their remark about Super Junior. They said it twice in the video that ”You should not criticize Super Junior in Korea.”
The video got great response from SJ fans. They commented, “Not only in Korea, but all over the world. You can’t criticize Super Junior”,”Respect Super Junior, most important rule”,”I watched this video only because they mentioned SJ, don’t bash Super Junior anywhere in the world”
These reactions by fans prove Super Junior’s global popularity and amazing fan following.
There were also some curious ones who asked, “What if we criticize Super Junior?”. Well this can only be answered by ELF…

hahaha looks like they got our message! when they review mr.simple mv,they were rude after that i lost respect for Simon&Martina! they better say good things about A-CHA or they will make the whole SAPPHIRE BLUE OCEAN ANGRY!

I’m sorry but this is wrong, they should criticize SJ if they want, ELF must understand that not everyone shares their thoughts on SJ and not everybody find them great. Besides, this kind of comment allows you to have other perspective of the SJ situation. Besides this critics is about the MV and not the SJ members, so unless they are involved in the creative/artistic/conception of the MV, this kind of critic goes straight to the SM creative/artistic department.
So ELF take it easy and think that critic is good and allows you to improve for next time.

Yes, I agree. They didn’t say anything in their mv review that they wouldn’t have said about any other k-pop group. It wasn’t biased or mean-spirited, but ELF blew it totally out of proportion by attacking the v-bloggers. I personally think this incident was one of the low points for the fandom this year. This video is obviously a dig at the fans. The fact that ELF seem to be totally obvious to that fact and continue to wear this like a patch of honor makes me shake my head.
And I really really hope ELF are not planning on voting A-Cha for review. It’s the same video! They didn’t like the first, they’re not gonna like the second. Why go through this again?

Sigh…this video probably got SJ more hate -_- not all the comments are so positive on that video.
ELFs shouldn’t have such huge reactions to things like this, just because you don’t agree with their opinion.

I know….I hatee that there are fans in every group that aree OVER THE TOP with their idk craziness>? but its always ELFs the ones that get the blamee for EVERYTHING its not fair! there are stupid and inmature fans in EVERY fandom! not all of us ELFs are this way…Im glad super junior gets critisized ones in a whilee…so that they can become better:)

If you follow Eat Your Kimchi, you’ll know they made Music Monday video, review Kpop MV based on request..
Last time they reviewed Mr. Simple MV, just like their others review they made some joke and critique..
But many of ELF who didnt know them and just watch for SJ, cant handle it and think they are mocking SJ.

There’s the worst part begin..
Some over reactive ELF begin to bash them in their YT, Twitter, and Tumblr.
Saying they have to go to hell and etc..
They pretty annoyed by it.. Made statement in their Twitter and reblog the hate message in their tumblr…
Showing the bad side of fandom..
Again ELF got bad name..

So basically “You cant critize Super Junior” is their way on showing fandoms mentality in KPop and not limited to SJ&ELF, but also other fandoms..

Honestly I’m sick of people saying how scary ELF just bcoz some immature people..

This is really annoying. It’s nothing to be proud of. I don’t understand why ELFs are telling the whole world to not criticize or make fun of SJ. We should all be open to intelligent criticisms. Eat Your Kimchi has always made videos making fun of idols. Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes it’s just annoying. People are just gonna hate SJ more if fans don’t act a little more mature. And I seriously don’t like how Eat Your Kimchi had to mention this about SJ in this video. Like seriously! I’m annoyed at little immature fans celebrating what they said in this video but I’m also as annoyed at EYK for even bringing this up in their video. [roll eyes]

I do not like them. Even before Mr. Simple. And i don’t care if ELF attack him, because f*ckin most time, they to much with their «own opinion» on their so-called review. And this show that not ELFs butthurt and immature, this not-funny couple too. Another reason do not pay attention to them. I don’t understand why ELFs got mad in the first place. EYK does that with every single idol group. That’s their job! To mock and made fun of k-pop. That’s their sense of humor, it’s soooo American -though they’re Canadian-

i really hope they didnt make review for A-Cha.

I’m kind of laughing at all the ELFs getting butthurt over Simon&Martina’s comment.
As an American ELF, I laughed at the comment. Because it’s obviously sarcasm.
And ELFs, if you don’t like Simon&Martina’s points of view about Mr. Simple, then get over it. Not everyone is going to like Mr. Simple, and Simon and Martina should be allowed to express their opinions about anything they want without a ton of fans raging at them.
