First of all, I like to make sure this is all writen by fan of Super Junior.

The first and the only intention of this is asking appropriate apology and compensation to Golden Disk Awards 2010
according to some doubtful points brougth up about award standard, so hopefully there will not be any misunderstanding or unpleasant dispute following.

“Few suspicions about GDA”

First, about their judging standard for wineers.

GDA select 10 team for Main Award (5 for Disk Award, 5 for Digital Award) based on their sales volume of Disk and Digital source.
60% reflects the sales voume, 20% for internet vote and other 20% by judges’ evaluation.
The sales volume of Disk is based on data from domestic distribution company and wholesale/retail markets.
The sales volume of Digital source is total number of download / BGM from famouse online digital source websites.
A team who has the highest outcome for each Disk and Digital will win the Grand prize.

The standard for ” Ceci popular award” is not specified clearly. But in general, its been known that it is 100% result of popular vote. No matter what, since it is called ‘The poplular Award’, it is justified that it should reflect only poputer vote 100%.

1, Yesung(Super Junior) – It has to be you (Digital Awards)

This song got the most vote and was ranked no. 1 of the vote for Digital Award.
This is the picture of state of vote on 2010/12/08 the day of GDA.

If you look closely and compare the percentage of first two (Yesung, LeeSeungGi) and others who follows next,
they are two intense competition while others have relatively low numbers.

However, in GDA 2010, there were five winners for this Award, LeeSeungGi, Miss A, IU, CNBLUE and 2AM.
However when you look at their results of vote, its only Lee:43.9%, Miss A: 0.1%, IU: 0.1%, CNBLUE 0.6% and 2AM: 1,7%.

They are saying the vote result if only 20% for selection so lets see the sales volume which must be 60%.
This is comparison between Yesung and Lee who were keen competitor and the winner.

This is the chart from Music Bank, there is “Yesung-It has to be you” on no.4 and no LeeSeungki.

This is chart of Mobile ringtones from 2009/11/30 to 2010/11/30. “Yesung-It has to be you” is on no.15.
You can see other LeeSeungGi’s song on the chart (no.24) but no “Love taught me to drink” which was the one he got the prize with.

This is the chart of Mobile Ring back tone from 2009/11/30 to 2010/11/21.
“Yesung-It has to be you” is on no.4 while LeeSeungGi is on 10ths.

This is chart of evaluation for the first half year 2010.
“Yesung-It has to be you” is on no.12 while “LeeSuengGi-Love taught me to drink” is on no.27.

If you see all these data, Yesung who did not get the Digital award was actually more qualified than Lee who won.
This is only the comparison of two who were very keen competitor in the popular vote.
I apologize to fans of Lee for comparing these two, but it comes to the front that there was no reason for Yesung not to win.

2. Ceci Popular Award.

Like I said earlier, there is nowhere criteria for the Popular award is specified.
However, since this is ‘The Popular’ award to judge how popular they are to the people. It should reflect result of popular vote 100%.
Last year, It went to SHINee and Super Junior who were #1 and #2 of the popular vote.

However, this year, even though the result of vote was same as the last year (#1 SHINee #2 Super Junior), It was SHINee and SNSD who won the Ceci Popular Award.

The gap between #2, SuperJunior and #3 SNSD was also very visible.

You can see the gap between those two is almost 16%.

Super Junior actually got MSN Asia Popular Award earlier of the ceremony.
However, If you look at the result of vote for MSN Asia Popular Award,
the gap between Super Junior and the other teams were just too huge and obvious to anyone else would win the prize but them.

And also, there is no statement saying “You can not win both Ceci Popular Award and MSN Asia Popular Award”
or ” You can not win Ceci Poupular Award if you already won the MSN Asia Popular Award” on their website or press release.

This vote was done without distinction of Male/Female, and also there is no statement saying it will be one Male Group and one Female Group to be winners.
Also, for GDA 2009 last year, two winners were SHINee and Super Junior, both male group so there is actualy no explanation for giving the prize to SNSD instead of Super Junior.

For the last but definitely not the least, this popular vote actually CHARGE the money for voting.
300won per ARS phonecall vote (app. 25 cents for US dollars) and 500won (app. 40cents) for Wireless vote.

Since it also relates to actually money problem, it could be developed as a lawsuit in the future.

(Here is the example of legal statement that could be made out of this.)

There is money owed to us and GDA since we payed for certain votes for Popular award.
GDA, the debtor, actually has obligation to award the Ceci Popular award.
Also, since we became consumer by paying certain price, we have right to know.
We were supposed to be noticed before
that MSN Asia Popular Award and Ceci Popular Award cannot be awarded together.
It is a violation of our right to know since we have never got any notice.
Furthermore, even though we have good reason to win it
because of GDA’s mistake, it creates bad impression about Super Junior to the public
saying they are not worth to win the Popular Prize.
And it also creates defamation on both Super Junior and us.

Therefore, it all explains that there was no reason for Super Junior not to get “Ceci Popular Award” ,
how it actually damaged fans financialy and how it actually makes legal relationship between fans and GDA.

3. Disk Award Grand Prize

Disk Award Grand Prize went to SNSD for GDA 2010.
As I mentioned earlier, Golden Disk Disk Award is 60% of sales volume, 20% of popular vote and 20% of judges’ decisions.

First, let’s look at the result of Popular Vote

As you see, Super Junior outspaced SNSD by 11.6%.

Now, let’s compare the sales volume for two of their disk.
This is article saying there is major chance that Super Junior will win the GDA Disk Grand Prize for two years in a row.

The Golden Disk Award, which made to be 25th years by now, select their winners according to sales volume of Disk and Digital source.
It seems like Super Junior who was the winner of GDA 2009 has the most selling record this year by far too.

According to Hanteo chart, Super Junior 4th Album ‘BONAMANA’ version A has been sold 131,946 disk between 2010/01/01 to 2010/12/08 and ranked as No.1.
There is SNSD whose 2nd Album ‘Oh!’ is on No.2 but there aer 8,000 disk difference between ‘Oh!’ and ‘BONAMANA’.
This time the repackage album will be also counted for the GDA. According to the chart, repackage of Super Junior 4th has been sold 45,412 disks and repackage of SNSD 2nd has been sold 56,543 disks.
Actually Super Junior’s 4th Album was also released as v.2 which has been sold 48,368 disks.

GDA annouced ‘Hoot’ by SNSD relased on October has been sold 91,544 disks but it will not be conunted since it was not on the chart when nominees were selected.

In GDA, there is also popular vote part which is 20%. At this point, Super Junior is voted 34.5% and ranked as no.1 while SNSD is voted 22.9% as no.2.
However, it is very clear that gap is more than 10% and make Super Junior outspaced SNSD by 11.6%.

There are many other evidence that is obvious.
This is the actual chart from Hanteo data base.
You can see clearly that Super Junior sold much more disks than SNSD.

There are many arguments about repackage album and album version B, but there is not clear specification on any page of GDA website or press realease.
BONAMANA version A and B has exactelly same songs listed so actually it is very hard to tell that they are two seperate album.
And as you read from the article, SNSD’s latest single ‘Hoot; was not counted for the award.

However, we could find this article after the Award ceremony.

First of all, the biggest problem is that GDA never inform exactelly which album is being counted for the prize even though they have been overemphasize their fairness on selecting winners.

It means they actually have very ambiguous standard which could be changed anytime for any intension.
If GDA informed this clearly and early, there would be no arguments about this and no cofusion between even reporters to write different articles.

We actually also found this on some website..

According to this, it is saying SNSD is selected as winner by judges through 3 levels of evaluation because of being as icon of Korean pop

and efforts to enhance the nation’s status for being great success over japan.

However,
Super Junior’s popularity and influence throughout oversea easily exceed SNSD on 2010.
Even though there was no actual activity or public appear, they already own huge number of fans in Japan and leads Super Junior – K.R.Y concert in Japan.
They has been also ranked as no.1 in not only Korea, Japan and China but also all around Asia such as Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore etc.
Also it was very surprising to fans to see they were very popular in Brazil and Arab States with no public appear or promotion at all.

As you see Super Junior already dominate the market world wide over Asia.
Therefore, It is hard to understand why judges would evaluate the value of Super Junior less then SNSD.

We heard this was not actually from the the judge, but we still want to say, it is true that SNSD has been very succesful over the year,
but Super Junior was also very successful or even more.
So We are saying, it is very hard to understand, the judges decision could be the reason for them not winning the Grand prize even though we all do not know exactelly how judges tought.

4. for the Last, the reaction of other Musicians in the ceremony.

After the break, Super Junior didnt come back to the hall until the Popular Award.
Also, right before the Grand Prize award, their manager whispherd something to Leeteuk and other Members.
After this secret whispers, it was very hard to tell their face was happy and their face all frozen really fast. Makes us wonder.. what was that whispher all about?

After SNSD went up the stage for the prize, other musicians come to Super Junior, not SNSD, and hugged them.
We all know Super Junior has lots of friends but still it is weird that everyone hugged Super Junior while there is actually winner on the stage.

For the last, right before the announcement for the Grand Prize, there was applause and cheer shouting Super Junior from the audience.
When members heard it, they didnt seem happy at all.. We all wonder why..

These are all very suspicious and different actions and situation compare to other Award ceremony.
However, these reaction things are only assumption so we will not talk about it too much.

For ending, I like to cite the Golden Disk Award website, saying..

‘Digital Award’ is the award to let people know which musician was the most loved through out the whole year to meet the trends of the times
where Digital source market is expanding as massive number of people prefers it.
We select winners by fair evaluation according to data provided by reading company that has pure public confidence.
However, because of those reasons and proofs mentioned above (1,2,3), we question that Golden Disk actually select the winners by FAIR evaluation.
So, us, E.L.F (Super Junior Fan Club) demands GDA to reveal the exact standard for each award and prize to the public and reward financial damage especially for Ceci Popular Award votes.

This is not just some fans whining

According to the data we collected, GDA almost swindle fans out of their money.
We all know it is once in a year ceremony.
People will forget about it and one year later, we will be same fan voting for the same thing, so you might wonder what the big deal about it is
However, if there will be no action taken by GDA even after we spread this evidences and explanation through
we are ready to cope strictly and legally with this matter in regard to right of voters, viewers and all the musicians who attended.

This is very saddening, but in no way am I surprised. The fact that we have a part in who gets the award is bullshit, everything is decided by SM. And for some reason they have chosen to promote SNSD this year.

Though what I find to be surprising is why they’re sabotaging Suju to put the spotlight on others. Don’t they bring in LOADS of money to the company?

- I think your theory is correct. It makes sense that SM would make SuJu step down in order to put the spotlight on SNSD. It’s always about money in the end. If SNSD can bring in more money, SM isn’t going to worry about anyone’s feelings.

    The result was such a huge slap on our faces especially to our Super Junior when we know they deserved MORE and BETTER than a popularity award.
    
    When I saw the members’ frozen faces and how they suppressed their feelings and reactions, I swear I heard my heart scream in agony.

- well here’s the thing…
  GDA were rightfully wrong and we arent being whiny and complaining fans (even if others might view us as such).
  if soshi won fair and square, then there would not be all this hype about it and ELFs would accept it. but because NOTHING adds up, thats why ELFs are going to take action. AND being swindled of ur money is no small matter, especially in this economy

Our ELF, its okay.. don’t worry. I know we worked hard for this year because of our Angel is going to enlist in the army next year. I know KoreanELF voted for SuJu in MAMA, and they didnt win, but we still voted for them in GDA. And still, they didn’t win. I know were sorry for not fulfilling Teukie’s last wish before going into the army, i know they’re sad as well for not winning Daesang for us, and for themselves. But hey, they’re always winners. The moment you became an ELF, is the moment Super Junior became winners, forever. And look, they even won the Asian Popularity Award. Isn’t that something? Isn’t that what they deserve more than any other artist? Let’s not bash SNSD or other artist. If we do, how do you think SNSD will face SuJu in the future? They must realize the burden they get from ELF and SONES for fighting with each other, but theyre families. Families dont argue with each other. If they do, they’ll eventually get along with each other. And that’s what we have to do with OUR fellow family. SONES and ELFs are families. We love each other, right? And besides, before Teukie leaves, he’ll still be in 5th Jib. Let’s try our very best and make Super Junior 5th Jib the BEST album ever in South Korea, and send Teukie off with a smile. Shall we?

This makes me angry. No matter what SM or GDA is/was planning on…. If there’S VOTE involved it should be done DEMOGRATICLY and FAIRLY and even if the Votes take only 50% (or less) of dicion the reasons of the judged should be Stated! What’s all this? This is like some lame fake action. SNSD…it’s not their fault and they can’t be really happy about the award, because they know as well thats it’s unfair. Suju is sad, because it’s unfair. Follow Artist know about this fakeness and unfairness as well… So what is that award all about? If a award is not based on facts it garbage. -.-

Sigh. But I’m glad that the comments on this article aren’t bashing SNSD. Remember guys, the girls didn’t choose to recieve this award, and were really surprised when their name was announced.

But this is really fishy. I feel so sorry for them. I think Suju really deserved it this year, cause of all the things they had to go through this year…

In MAMA Suju even didn’t get an award, ELF still keep quiet n calm down even we know that unfair and vote without regret.. We scared, How if GDA banned Suju? Oh C’mon guys.. Did we do something wrong? Did we cheat the vote or album sales? Did we steal someone money to pay phonecall/wireless for vote? NO.. Then why should we scared? The One should scared is GDA (Another unfair too), NOT US..
It’s not about award things again. But it’s about our friends that crying and got scold by stupid award ceremony.. They make our love and effort as a joke. Do you like it? Huh.. T.T .. GDA steal our friends money n give our friends hope but broke it.. MAMA n GDA did that, then not surprise the next another award ceremony doing that too to ELFs+Suju if we keep silent..

How if this make a bad name for ELFs/Suju? Oh C’mon again guys, ELFs too nice, they give an petition to GDA and only ask explenation how GDA count and even didn’t kick GDA staffs that night. This is even better to do than we say harst comment to sone/snsd/sm/gda/mnet cause all not clear rumors (example: sm order gda to give daesang to snsd not suju, cause wanna increase snsd popularity in internasional). right?

I think us ELFs need to think carefully before we try to take any drastic actions with regards to the GDA. In the event that there is concrete proof of some sort of unfairness on the part of the judging or the calculation, then ELFs have a strong case. But this unfairness needs to be looked into with calm, cool and rational heads. We cannot charge into this with indignance and self-righteousness, because the cruel reality is that people will see us as being hot-headed and downright biased. Is this what we want in backlash? What if it jeopardises Suju’s chances at future awards, performance and cf opportunities, etc?

In addition, I think our main aim is still to love and support Suju, regardless of whether they win awards. I would like to think that we bought these albums because we support Suju’s music and we respect the work they do. I would like to think we didn’t just buy copies so that they could get on music charts and win awards. Even if Suju doesn’t win these awards, their album sales are still very important to their ability to continue signing contracts to stay in the entertainment industry. Their ability to sign on with SME, or any management company for that matter, is sitll linked highly to their commercial viability. At least we can protect our boys in that area.

In addition, what is the outcome we want from a verification of GDA judging? Even if we find that something was truly fishy and that Suju deserved to win, do we think the boys will truly be happy with that belated win? They will not be happy to take the award from their dongsaengs and hoobaes Soshi who have worked very hard. Even if there are some of us who dislike Soshi or are jealous of them, we must be thankful that because of these dongsaengs and hoobaes, our Suju oppas have friends, even sibilings in this dog-eat-dog industry. We should not spoil their friendships with these girls.

Our Suju is strong enough to bear a setback like this one. They have shown us time and again the ability to climb back from where they have fallen. I believe we can help them by not over-hyping this issue, so that they can put this behind them more quickly.

i love this: As you see Super Junior already dominate the market world wide over Asia.

GO Korean ELF!! We’re on your back and will support you no matter what, they owe us an explanation over all this unfairness of judgment. We’ve buy the disks by bulk order and wait more then two month to actually get the disk to make sure it will count on Hanteo Record so our boys can win but those bullshit has left us with nothing and a tears from our beloved boys, who cares if we get banned? Because if they did that, that’s mean there is something wrong with it, what we demand is only an explanation and the truth.

SME has been unfair to our SuJu boys far too long, how they promotes the other group more then our boys but statistics show how our boys is the one who kept their company well profits all these years with all the oversea selling records and endorsement, acting, MC-ing, DJ-ing and modeling. For now, only SJ has their own Asia Tour Concerts Super Show with sold out ticket in every venues they attends and that show how big they are…there’s no need to promote them to Europe, America and even Emirates when they already well known and popular in those country without even been there…

So ELF let fighting for our boys right, we are their friends and together we can bring them justice.

I understand some ELF’s concern. They are worried that if the K-ELF really sue GDA, it may affect future participation of SJ in GDA. But if you view this matter on another point of view, if ELF dont do something about it. GDA committee will keep on being unfair to SJ. And things may be the same in the next year too.

ELF only want explanation on this matter. We only want justice.

- I believe our boys flashed a lot of skin this year with Bonamana and their W Korea shoot as well… DBSK showed a lot of abs as well in songs like Mirotic. It’s about the concept and projected image, I don’t think it’s fair to have a double standard for female artistes, esp if we are girls ourselves. There’s surely a lot of hard work that goes into dancing into heels, and promoting 3 korean and 2 japanese songs in one year and we don’t know much about this, so it’s not quite fair for us to compare the girls and our boys…

As a Sone i became part of ELF after some ELF came and congrat us SONE for snsd winning award.So i thought that ELF are nice and i should be family with them like SNSD and SUJU But After Reading this i realized that not all ELF is nice afterall. - To be honest, I don’t think you ever were really an ELF because if you were, then you would understand that we’re not trying to bash anyone. If SNSD had won obviously and fair and square, we wouldn’t have a problem, because we could have seen it coming. The thing is, Super Junior was leading the whole time and everyone, even others artists and fans of other artists, thought they were a shoe-in to win. Not all of us are trying to say that SNSD didn’t work hard or is a terrible group. I actually like SNSD’s songs. It’s just that GDA changed their rules at the last minute which is why everyone is upset now, so don’t call us disgusting for just noticing that something was wrong. I don’t necessarily think we should try to sue GDA or anything because it would ruin SJ’s image.
  
  Either way, I guess this event has shown who Super Junior’s real fans are, so if you want to leave the fandom, go ahead, but don’t call us disgusting when you’re not even looking at what’s really going on here.

I think if the award is rigged cuz probably to help SNSD success in Japan, Kara is kicking their butt right now by chosen as best rookie by Rechoku, got 4 RAJ certification, film 2 CFs, ahead in profits and CD, starting their own show. Obviously SNSD been behind so SM thought this would help boost them….god and SJ have to get hit cuz of this…this is BS. i feel bad for them, they’re the first kpop group i know. Hope they get the recognition they deserve.

I hate to say this, but it is a fact that SJ is well past their prime as an idol group. We all know that, but whether some of you choose to ignore that… is your prerogative. This is the same reason why so many of them are moving into acting, musicals etc. When LeeTeuk enters the army next year, SJ will, at best, be put on hiatus while the rest do their own stuff. The worst case scenario? We might never see SJ perform together ever again.

I’m two-minded about this intended action by SJ-Market. While I don’t love SNSD, I really do like a couple of the members and their songs. And SNSD is now in their prime; they are THE money-spinners for SM Ent now and have a couple of good years more to go. I’m not saying its right, but they are all probably thinking ‘why bother giving the grand award to a waning group reaching the end of its life-span?’

Is what we are about to do going to help SJ in any way? Or are we going to give them a bad name again? Don’t forget, the Only-13 campaign left a very bad aftertaste and ELFs are almost exclusively known to be highly irrational. I do not want to hurt SJ anymore. Perhaps its best to let things sort out by itself without demanding for an explanation. If the rigging is true, think of how SNSD feels every time they face SJ – I think that is punishment enough already.

I know what I say is not going to change anything. I just wanted to serve as a rationale voice with a balanced view.

Just because because some childish point of view means SuJu’s not worth it? - i do agree with u on some of the points u made. but not the “reaching life-span thing’. well maybe half of it. their “life-span” may end already or coming to an end but they just got started INTERNATIONALLY. the word ‘idol’ imo, in korea only refers to their age, (proof: i’ve seen and heard enough about ppl teasing leeteuk’s age and its past his prime time..im too lazy to search for the videos but yes its true) internationally however fans dont think being an “idol” is about their age. its how fans look up to them. evidence is stated above, im talking about how they are famous in BRAZIL AND ARAB those are this year. i know we have diff opinion and im not blaming you for having your own becoz i have mind and voicing mind too.

Honestly..HONESTLY.. I’m a die-hard ELF since like forever, but I want all the other ELFs to just shut up. I mean..yeah, we can say GDA was unfair and everything is fishy but please..get over it. I know K-ELFs poured lots of money for the voting but geez..please everyone don’t take it too far–don’t take it to the court or telling people that we will. Please, even the other fanclubs aren’t cool with this. ELFs have a bad reputation already and this will worsen things and might affect SuJu’s image as well. I know how it feels to be cheated on but sometimes all we can do is let go and move on. Suing will lead on to more complications and complications will lead to more misunderstandings..do you think SuJu will want that?? This is touching. Really. It’s touching that we are doing our best to make our boys happy but please.. Please. Let’s just move on shall we? If GDA (or SME) were really at fault here..well they’ll meet their doom sooner or later right. But please. People. Let’s just..let go. And support our boys MORE next year. This like a slap in the face huh? But I guess it’s also kinda a good sign. Because of the whole GDA thing..all our love for SuJu was unified and seen by the whole world. And let’s just keep it that way..please? Thank you.

I’m an ELF, and like thousand other ELF worldwide, I cried so hard when they lost. I really thought that they would get the award because they were obviously leading. Okay, so now I don’t really know what to believe. I understand other ELF’s feelings, and reasons for spreading things like these but… I just wish we’d all move on. This whole thing is just making us (as a whole) look desperate. And look, the boys have moved on, and they’re going on with their lives, still working hard and all that. I think we should do the same. It’s really not good to dwell on the past. Let’s just look forward to the future, to what it would bring us, to what we could in our lives, may it be related to Super Junior or not.

I’m upset, too and I’m torn about this whole thing. I love Super Junior and I wish we could have fulfilled their wish, but we couldn’t and we should just accept it. I think what matters is that we know we did our best, we know they could have won that award fair and square, and we know that more than anything, our only purpose for doing all those things, is because we love Teukie and the whole group, and we only wanted to make them happy. They might not have gotten the award, but that’s not the end of everything. As long as we stay strong and be by their side, we still have hope for better years to come.

Sigh. Sorry for the long comment. I have so much more to say but I’m rambling. -_-

The issue here is not about whether SJ got cheated or ELFs got cheated…It’s about integrity and credibility ..I salute the K-ELF for standing up to their rights..They need to make a statement as what they said was true..they spent money for all those votes so where was the actual results..? All they wanted was an explanation from the relevant authorities, no harm in that..!Unless it was proven otherwise and how they were misled, this thing will continue to go on..When K-ELF made their point, it not only help SJ, it will also help other musicians..knowing that the awards they will receive in future are based on real facts and not on the wimp of some higher up..or just based on sympathy..Those musicians who received those awards with a questional background will not be happy knowing that they won by default or favouritism of the judges..
go K-ELF make your presence felt..!!

one thing that you guys have to comprehend, elf and sone are family, from one company, but what you guys writing here, just like sone and snsd are enemy for suju and elf.

i also read “the other group give superjunior hug while the winner is on stage” well, are other group forbidden to give them hug? why? maybe other group express their sympathy for super junior cause they cannot win gda, because last year suju’s the winner, that’s it, why you make other group hugging super junior as a big problem?!

one thing that i see from GDA, suju is supporting their hoobae so much. when snsd win, suju came to their place, even i know that they’re so disappointed, but they still give a congratulate to their hoobae. so, why elf cant do the same to sone? although all elf are disappointed, why you cant forget it and give sone congratulation? maybe with that attitude, we can be a good-hearted fandom, wise fandom.

First thing first, If you guys dont believe that Oh is better then Bonamana you guys can go youtube and see the views yourself, it has 10 million of different in views. Second, If you think that SNSD win because Sm let them win to make them famous of whatever shit you guys accuse them off, Let pretent is true. Which mean SJ won last year could be SM Letting them win because to make them famous. - It doesn’t matter how many views they have… because… if it does do you think DBSK is unpopular seeing how their views are even less than Super Junior themselves? No. Its not about the views…plus this year SME isn’t promoted Super Junior, hence the low budget mv and their korean titled MV which makes it hard for fans to get to watch the mv. By the way, if youtube wasn’t blocked in China then Super Junior would have more views than your SNSD. Also ELFs…as we said a billion times already…aren’t bashing SNSD about them “stealing” the award from Super Junior. its obvious that all ELFs are dedicated to Super Junior like SONEs to SNSD.. we all worked hard to get them to first place or get the biggest award of the night. As you can see the awards were suppose to be Super junior’s and Yesung’s not SNSD or Lee Seung Gi but GDA seems to changed their minds last minute… not blaming SNSD. We’re not bashing or hating we just want to know the truth. I don’t care if you hate SJ or not because theirs millions of others ELFs versus a hater like you. Apparently some SONEs here just cant accept the fact that Super Junior has the top selling albums this year. GDA was unfair…they didn’t give Super JUnior their rightful awards, and K-ELFs wasted their money with this unfairness. Obviously you SONEs and possibly Lee Seung Gi fans didn’t read this whole thing propertly. We are trying to get justice and in K-ELFs case..they want their money back since GDA didn’t give the award to the actual winner. We’re not bashing SNSD. - I don’t think I ever said that SM decides the “who should have won this year’s GDA Daesang”….even if SM did decide or bribe GDA ..it would be stupid; SJ and SNSD being in the same company would be a win win situation for the company if wither one had won. You should really re-read what I say. Last year was quite obviously SJ’s win…They didn’t count SNSD’s mini albums but only Full albums last year.. but this year they seemed to add SNSD’s mini album to the album charts. This may come to the conclusion that GDA counted both their full albums, possibly repackaged, and mini album. While SJ; they only added Version A and C[repackaged] because they couldn’t have added version B since its practically the same list of songs…which makes this whole thing unfair. Also last year there wasn’t any artist that could have caught with SJ..obviously 2PM just started to get popular just like SNSD. Big Bang and DBSK was on hiatus.. I dont any other popular idol groups would be able to catch up with SJ. We are not saying SJ is the best of all kpop idols..that seems to be SONEs thing..obviously..I see SONEs say that all the time everywhere….-_-Anyways..I dont care if 10/10 SONEs feel offended its actually because they are jealous of the fact that..this page..shows all evidence of SJ needed to win Daesang and Digital Award[in Yesung's case] and also SJ should have won Ceci popularity awards; ehem SHINee and SJ top two places; all 100% fan votes. Also this doesn’t really revolve around SNSD…its GDA’s fault. Im sick of this. stop saying that ELF are bashing SONES or SNSD. We are not. We didnt say SNSD doesnt deserve to win.

ELF shows many proof and evidence that indeed SJ was leading in the rank but the award gave it to another. We have proof thats why we DARE to say that GDA was unfair.

If SJ lost in a fair condition, I think ELF will accept it. But this is not the case for now, its unfair that’s why ELF are disappointed with the result.

In every fandom there is bound to be some immature spoil brat kid fans.
And whether or not you choose to believe every fandom definitely have this kind of fan its up to you . But it IS A FACT . Therefore if you are gonna leave the fandom so easily, then please DON’T even call yourself a fan. Because that is EVEN MORE DISGUSTING. BTW SONES also have very bad reputation as well so don’t go around saying ONLY ELFs have bad attitudes. Either way i only want GDA to prove everything with evidences and fact . Cos ELFs spend so much money on it. I wouldn’t be satisfied if a proper explanation is not given. Yes of course i am afraid that SJ might have a bad reputation but if you think about it, why would asking for a proper explanation be wrong? i cried when they didn’t win. but not because they lost and not because i’m a fan, and definitely not because i’m bitter. i’m really sad how SuJu managed to stay on top (with billions of ELFs around the globe supporting and putting too much effort)and yet they didn’t get what they deserved. moreover, the daesang award went to co-sment talent, SNSD. i just hope no gap will pop put of the two groups, they are both good. it’s just too sad to see disputes such as these, knowing how these matters to SuJu and to the ELFs (chul and teuk entering the army next year – as rumored. it’s not just an award – it’s a result of their hard work, passion for their craft, and love and support from ELFs. acceptance is the key, yes, but only if the truth speaks it. Super Junior is the best. we love you…

I just read the article about the Unfairness on GDA to Suju.. Before anything else, I want to salute all ELFs for being so intellectual at all times.. The proofs and evidences you provided were so credible, that whoever reads it will ask no question about it.. Thumbs up for that!

Moving on, just like everyone, it broke my heart when I found about this.. I feel sorry for Super Junior, it must have been a great shock to them.. I encourage you to continue the sue regarding GDA’s cheating tactics.. It’s your right and will always be yours.. With this enough evidence, you will be able to get atleast an apology from SMent and GDA organizers..

To all the ELFs out there, who are afraid to go against SMent and GDA, be brave enough to take the risk of exposing the truth.. Because if suju members are in your place, they would do the same.. Let the whole world know that they got nothin’ on ELFs..

Well, on Thu, Dec 9th. I was so sure that Suju would win. I even told my friend that. But when I went on allkpop and saw the result, i was shocked. I was surprise how snsd could win over Suju. I’m not saying that Snsd dont deserve to win but Suju has worked very hard for this album. leeteuk, eunhyuk and donghae even worked out to get the muscle body.!! They put a lot of work into 4jib. Some ELFs say let this go, I can understand them but I cant let go. ELFs all over the world had worked very hard for the Disk Award.
Also, ELFs dont bash Snsd, they just want GDA to reveal the real numbers of the vote since they all pay money to vote. That’s nothin’ wrong.

I guess I’m no longer a newbie ELF, so I have to figure this issue out. But I really don’t know which side is telling the truth. As with all people, both ELF and non-ELF, aware of the award results, I was completely shocked. I would really like to believe that GDA is organized fairly and that SME understands our shock and will come to prove this entire issue a big understanding. I would also really like to believe that fellow ELFs are not simply channelling their anger and exaggerating the award selection process. I don’t know which side to believe! I will 13elieve, when someone from SuJu, or SME, or GDA, delivers a satisfying explanation instead of throwing the issue away with a sloppy excuse and leaving ELFs to fume over it and then accusing ELFs of being…whatever they are always accusing us of being. I finish my rant of agony.

Reading through all these detailed info once again makes my heart aches. If SME really wants to promote SNSD this year, can’t they use a more better method. As in really promote and not take away the boys’ award and give it to them.
Yes I know SNSD is very successful, but all of us know that all the results shown in those votings and albums rates etc is telling us that SJ is the winner to the Daesang award! How can there be such an unfair thing happening in this world, and right in front of our eyes?!
It’s not the matter of who the award belongs to, it’s just that the award is the result of the boys’ hardwork!
And I always wonder why SME always keep treating SJ so badly. They are one of the most popular groups in their company, aren’t they?!
I really really hope this year’s GDA will be FAIR AND SQUARE!

I guess, what we can do now, is to ensure that everything is fair for this year’s GDA. The reasons GDA has given us for last year’s GDA may be suspicious, but let’s just try and continue to support SJ by streaming their music live so as to push them to the top as well as buying their albums Version A and Version C.

Perhaps last year, there were some mistakes made unknowingly (although I don’t think so) and thus, GDA decided to shoot us in the back despite everything we’ve done to help SJ try and win. I’m not saying SJ doesn’t deserve to win when the evidence is there fair and square that they should win, but we should unite even closer for the next 2months and keep voting for them since this year’s GDA is held in December I suppose.

Of course, if the results of this year GDA’s are contradicted by the whatsoever research, we ELFs would definitely have a lot more to say, and a lot more evidence to hit back. And this time, I won’t be that objective anymore.

So here’s to Super Junior and ELFs, let’s go through this with them together, hwaiting! ^^

if snsd win this year which mean it’s 2 years in a row
with this GDA has break their own rule

i just want to ask-so if like that can super junior claim GDA award last year? and at the same time get the third one?

it’s annoying how SM treat differently between snsd and sj
i believe sj and dbsk are the one who help snsd to go to all other countries
if u all realise sj hold china market which is continuously expanding with sj having this china market they are able to continue to grow
with super junior popularity in china itself it’s very difficult for snsd to go in…

i really hate how they have different budget between sj and snsd
a-cha mv dance version looks like they are recycling what they had previously from the a-cha mv

see snsd teaser new album how much they spend for all those clothes
